I have been in business for over 7 years and have seen many changes all of it would seem to be to the detriment of the worker Every pound that is added onto legal collection of waste is ultimately lost in pushing people in general to fly tip Prison sentences or fines do not seem to be a deterrent. Even the mention to most people that prices are rising puts them off a legal collection but running or seeking out the fly tippers to do the work It takes courage and guts to run a business today in this unbalanced economic climate. The establishment continues to support armchair action blissfully unaware that most people are fed up with the mess left by their actions of cut backs or lack of follow up Unfortunately as shown on these reality programmes fly tippers don't care - but who really does? I quoted yesterday for a house clearance which the majority of was furniture - as everything is now charged by weight this increased the disposal charges tremendously as it now sits in the South of England at £149 per tonne for disposals Only the waste stations are now monopolising the market as they own a high percentage of the skip companies as well Time to come clean and think of new strategies that are targeted towards waste renewals and not just cash in a politicians pocket |
