Good morning - splashed across the Daily Echo yesterday was the first of many to be caught for fly tipping. Although the Echo said that it cost a few hundred to clear up the mess left by such individuals that is more likely to be thousands - looking at the pictures they portrayed alone would mount to at least two thousand to clear up.
As an independent and licensed waste carrier it would be a joy to see more of these people caught. Flytipping unfortunately is endemic in a vast number of areas in the country but it is not only the cause of unscrupulous trades people it is also the thought of people trying to get something for nothing - you know who you are.
As the saying goes if it sounds to cheap to be above board it usually is. Who cares - well that is only down to the individual but dont be an ass when it comes to saying it is the coucils thought for not clearing it up quick enough.
Flytippers cost the honest tax payer money. They do not pay tax in any shape or form on the rubbish they dump. Licensed operators like myself work hard for the client and pay through commercial tips or recycling plants for the privelage of dumping your rubbish but the subtle difference tax is paid and as much as possible is recycled.
